Orthopulse/EPAT

EPAT is finally here

We know many of you have been waiting for this. Hannon Orthopedics is very excited to announce that we are one of the few practices in Southern California to now offer Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Treatment (EPAT). This innovative technology is the most advanced and highly effective non-invasive treatment method that is FDA approved to treat pain from and acute injury or overuse. This technology is based on a unique set of pressure waves that stimulates metabolism, enhances blood circulation, and accelerates the healing process. Damaged tissue gradually regenerates and heals. This non-invasive office-based procedure represents a breakthrough treatment option for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions. Patients who have been struggling with pain from tendinitis in the foot, ankle, knee, hip, elbow, and shoulder are finally starting to get relief with EPAT. We have already seen outstanding results in our patients with chronic ailments such as plantar fasciitis, patellar tendinitis, Achilles tendinitis, calcific tendonitis in the shoulder, and tennis elbow.

Treatment sessions take approximately 10-15 minutes and in general at least 3-5 treatment sessions are necessary at weekly intervals. Not only is it non-invasive, anesthesia is not required, there is no risk of infection or scarring, and there is no downtime. Our patients are getting better faster and, most importantly, are getting back to the activities they love.
